RBT Underfloor T/A Robot Underfloor Heating was setup in Inverness in 2014 as a direct supplier to the Underfloor Heating industry.

Up until 31st December 2020 we were part of the Robot group in the Netherlands, changes in the parent company allowed us to buy out the UK division and rebrand to RBT Underfloor. We are now a privately owned company and in 2021 moved into a new premises that has allowed us to double our floor area for stock.

Robot NL has been producing underfloor heating manifolds in Holland since 1988. Since the company’s foundation, a great number of innovative developments have taken place. The manifolds produced are of very high quality and very compact, thanks to the specially designed composite pump housing, the pumped manifold is supplied from 1-16 groups long which is fully integrated straight out of the box, a USP that no-one else offers. Robot NL also manufacture very high-quality stainless-steel manifolds that can be up to 19 groups long.

What we do

RBT Underfloor offer supply, design & installation of underfloor heating systems. Each of our underfloor heating systems will included a full colour cad drawing showing zone layouts, manifold position as well as room stat positions. We can complete any size of install, which can include insulation and screed, or retro fit systems if required.

All underfloor heating system will also include the required wiring diagram for the room stats and wiring centre and controls provided.

What is Underfloor Heating?

The heat produced from Underfloor heating comprises of 70% radiant Heat and 30% convection heat. Conventional systems mainly provide convection heat which circulates through the air that surrounds objects in a building. Radiant heat, heats objects & the general fabric of the building, including people, just like the sun heats objects on the earth’s surface.

Underfloor heating eliminates uncomfortable hot or cold air flows around a room and gives an even comfortable heating. The warmest part of the room is next to the floor, not the ceiling. Floor heating is as close as you can get to the ideal heating curve.
