Novus Distillery – Complete Floor Build-Up & Underfloor Heating Installation

RBT Underfloor was appointed to deliver the complete floor build-up for the prestigious Novus Distillery development, providing a fully integrated package that included insulation, underfloor heating and screed throughout the project.

The installation was delivered over three key phases, comprising the Administration Block, Ground Floor, and the First and Second Floors. Each phase presented a unique technical challenge due to the building’s distinctive circular architecture, with curved rooms and corridors requiring precise planning and bespoke heating layouts.

Our technical team carefully designed each underfloor heating system to suit the complex geometry of the building, ensuring consistent pipe spacing, balanced heat distribution and seamless integration with the architectural design. Throughout the project, every stage of the installation was meticulously inspected and checked against the approved drawings before work progressed, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

By combining detailed planning, close coordination with the project team and experienced installation crews, RBT successfully delivered every phase on programme and in accordance with the construction schedule, despite the complexity of the layout.

We are proud to have played a key role in this exceptional development, delivering a high-performance underfloor heating solution that complements one of Scotland’s most distinctive and innovative distillery projects.
