Monifieth Community Hub – Underfloor Heating Installation
RBT was appointed to design, supply and install the underfloor heating system for the new Monifieth Community Hub, delivering an energy-efficient heating solution across a total floor area of 603m².
Working closely with the project team, our technical department developed a bespoke heating layout to meet the building’s heating requirements. The design required all heating pipework to pass beneath a structural wall, ensuring no unnecessary heat was emitted into the plant area where the manifolds were located. This maximised the efficiency of the system by directing heat solely to the occupied spaces.
The installation comprised two large Robot Compact Pro manifolds and one smaller Robot Compact Pro manifold, providing independently controlled heating zones throughout the building while ensuring balanced flow across the entire system.
The open-plan nature of the building allowed our installation team to work efficiently, enabling the complete underfloor heating installation to be delivered in just two days. Following installation, the system was pressure tested, with all results recorded as part of RBT’s quality assurance procedures before handover.
The completed installation provides reliable, even heat distribution throughout the Community Hub, delivering a modern, energy-efficient heating solution designed to meet the long-term demands of a busy public building.
