Bogenraith Equestrian Centre – Underfloor Heating Installation

RBT was appointed to design, supply and install our own-brand underfloor heating system in partnership with the client and the project’s M&E contractors for the prestigious Bogenraith Equestrian Centre.

This exceptional development, regarded as one of the finest equestrian facilities in Scotland, was delivered over multiple phases spanning approximately two years. Our involvement began with the installation of underfloor heating within the staff accommodation before progressing to the main equestrian arena and supporting facilities the following year.

The ground floor, which accommodates the operational and behind-the-scenes areas of the centre, required a tie-to-mesh installation. Our PE-RT pipework was securely fixed to the reinforcing steel mesh prior to the structural concrete pour, ensuring the heating system was fully encapsulated within the concrete slab. This method provides exceptional durability, efficient heat transfer and long-term performance in demanding commercial environments.

On the first floor, RBT installed the insulation layer followed by our PE-RT underfloor heating pipework in accordance with the bespoke system design. Once pressure tested and approved, the installation was completed with a Cemfloor flowing screed, creating a high-performance heated floor ready to receive the final floor finishes.

By working collaboratively with both the client and the M&E team throughout each phase of the project, RBT successfully delivered a robust and energy-efficient underfloor heating solution tailored to the unique requirements of this landmark equestrian development.
