Ellon Baptist Church – Underfloor Heating Installation

RBT Underfloor was appointed to design, supply and install the underfloor heating system for the new Ellon Baptist Church, providing efficient heating across both the ground and first floors of the development.

To align with the construction programme, the installation was completed over two separate phases. The first-floor underfloor heating system was installed in December 2023, with the ground-floor installation following in January 2024. This phased approach ensured the project progressed smoothly while coordinating with the other trades on site.

The completed installation serves approximately 280m² on each floor and is distributed through four stainless steel manifolds, providing balanced flow and independent heating zones throughout the building. The spacious, open-plan layout allowed our installation team to work efficiently, enabling each floor’s underfloor heating installation to be completed in just two days.

All pipework was installed in accordance with RBT’s bespoke heating design and connected to the manifold system before undergoing comprehensive pressure testing to verify the integrity of the installation. Test results were recorded as part of our quality assurance process prior to the application of the floor finish.

The completed system delivers consistent, energy-efficient heating throughout the church, providing a comfortable environment for worship, community events and day-to-day activities while offering the long-term reliability expected from an RBT underfloor heating installation.
